Job Summary:
À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ is seeking a Physical Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to work with middle and high school students and support the school’s athletic and wellness programs.
Job Types: Full-time
Responsibilities also include:
- Teach physical education classes to middle and high school students.
- Develop and implement engaging physical education lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
- Organize and supervise a variety of physical activities, including strength training, conditioning, and team sports.
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and positive character development through athletics.
- Ensure the safety of students during all physical activities and maintain proper supervision at all times.
- Track and record student participation and progress in physical education programs.
- Communicate with parents regarding student participation and progress when necessary.
- Assist with the organization of school athletic events, activities, and competitions.
- Transport students to athletic events, competitions, or activities using the school van when required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education, kinesiology, sports science, or a related field.
- Experience teaching physical education or coaching in a school or youth sports environment.
- Strong understanding of fitness training, conditioning, and injury prevention.
- Ability to motivate students and encourage active participation in physical activities.
- Strong classroom and group management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with the ability to drive a school van for student transportation.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of teaching or coaching experience.
- Experience organizing school sports programs or athletic teams.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with middle and high school students.
