Learning by giving back
Community service is a vital part of school life. Students volunteer in many ways that benefit the local community, from environmental projects to helping in research and community centers.
They learn the value of giving back, understand social issues more deeply and build real-world skills such as teamwork, leadership and problem solving. It is a chance to step out of their comfort zone, connect with different people and make a real difference.
Every Upper School student completes 40 hours of community service as part of the diploma requirements.
